We've decided that instead of having a klenengan (gamelan concert) during the day as the reception and then a wayang kulit performance that night, we're going to put the whole thing in the evening. This should be less tiring and means that people are more likely to watch the wayang. We thought that since we've chosen the dhalang because we think he's good, we want our family and friends to watch his performance. Having the reception in the evening immediately before the wayang means that our guests will already be there, instead of going home after the daytime reception and having to return for the wayang.
So there will be no daytime event. Our wedding reception will begin at 7pm, followed by a wayang kulit performance at 9pm.
